As I mentioned in an earlier post collaborations are huge this year for power house designers and department stores. It's like the new must have trend, where everyone rushes to these lower end stores for a chance to get their hands on the big designers. Callabos are running heavy for Macys, Target and H&M, and it's gotten to a point where all the pieces for a collection gets sold out on the opening day. So other stores like Khols, Neiman Marcus, and Bloomingdales decided why not try this vast retailing strategy.
In four days Kohls will launch their first collaboration collection which is called "DesigNation", which would feature top designers for a limited time (mostly every quarter). Narciso Rodriguez would be Khols very first collection for DesigNation. Narciso is widely known for his modern, sophisticated took, while paying vast attention to the feminine silhouette. The collection screams colorful colorblocking and mixed prints ideas, body con dresses and skirts and lots of asymmetrical pieces. The price ranges from $30 to $150 which is pretty darn great.
